Organised by the Global Human Rights Leadership Training Institute (GHRLTI), this course is designed to prompt an exploration of common behaviours and attitudes towards gender differences. The course will empower participants with tools and sector-specific guidelines for gender mainstreaming in their institutions and development planning.
The course focuses on promoting gender considerations in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and demonstrates how gender-responsive strategies in development planning can be adopted to enhance the achievement of national development policies.
The course is aimed at women, gender officers, programme and project managers, research officers, policy makers, women leaders and members of coalitions and networks, students, staff of non-governmental organisations, donor agency field workers, volunteers, development actors, trainers, students, government officials, etc.
Candidates should have a good written command of the English language and a high competency and comfort with computer and internet use.
The course tuition fee is US$200. There is a limited amount of partial scholarships available for this course for applicants from developing countries, based on financial need.
