The 38th Session of the UN Statistical Commission will mark the Commission's 60th anniversary (1947-2007). It will discuss questions such as education statistics, population and housing censuses, national accounts, development indicators and national statistical capacity building. It will also share information on such issues as migration, energy and finance statistics. 

Activities: The Commission will also be preceded by a High-level Seminar on Evolution of National Statistical System (23 Feb) and a High-level Forum on the Statistical Commission and the Global Statistical Commission - The Way Forward (26 Feb).
